Translation for the pictorially challenged: Nik has both an ear infection and an infection at his g-tube site, and is on antibiotics which are creating a highly undesirable gastric effect resulting in extra work for Mommy who hasn’t slept much lately and has to resort to run-on sentences!

That Omnicef is some tough stuff. Most antibiotics actually help counteract SB’s chronic constipation in a good way. Omnicef is the ONLY one that gave him unbelievable diarrhea … to the point that we had to stop and switch to another antibiotic. If it loosens his bowls, I can only IMAGINE what it does to other kids.

Can Nik have acidophilus? I buy the capsules and they really help a lot. Maybe you could empty the capsule powder into a feeding somehow?

Girl, I know all about this one! We’ve had two ear infections in a row. We were all about the probiotics in the banana yogurt smoothies. And packing lots of extra diapers, pants, and shirts wherever we went.

Ugh, so sorry Nik is feeling poorly and you are sleep deprived yet again. Parker just had his recheck tonight and it appears at least for a few days his ears are both clear! I think he and Nik are on some sort of schedule together, seems last time P had an infection Nik followed a few days later.
