@Preppy Chemist He was actually *kissing* the TV! (He did that a lot at certain points yesterday; it was very cute.)
@Anon Um, did I misinterpret your remark or did I just get my first troll?? (Not being snide, I’m really curious.) Any social constructs being put upon these photographs is purely in the mind of the beholder. Nik just happened to be really enthusiastic about certain things that were going on and I happen to really like the photos. I think any one of them can stand alone on “artistic merit” but together they show me a child who once noticed nothing and who now notices everything —including what’s on TV. AND he got excited about it. In our house, that’s a big damn deal.
Although our political opinions are vastly different…I still think this post rocks! For this reason…”I think any one of them can stand alone on “artistic merit” but together they show me a child who once noticed nothing and who now notices everything —including what’s on TV. AND he got excited about it.” That is worth celebrating for sure!
SO wonderful. Max learned about the inauguration in his class, and when he came home that night and I showed him the tape of the ceremony on TV and he saw Obama, he got all excited! I knew exactly how he felt.
I love those pictures.
I feel the same way, Nik.
That’s way cool.
Am I glad no one was making a spectacle of my individuality by the social constructions inherent in such pictures when I was that age
Who thinks Nik needs a touch screen?
I do, I do!!!
I *love* the one of him hugging Obama!
Love the pics!
