I read Jess’ first and saw your comment. Great addition with the photo.
Have you been to D.C. to walk through all the memorials? I think the most haunting memorial to me was the U.S.S. Arizona at Pearl Harbor. They built the memorial perpendicular over the sunken ship. And you stand and read the names of all the men buried underneath you and read about how the attempts to rescue could hear tapping for days after the ship sunk. However, they had no way to save them.
